庭と暮らす

岡山市郊外、市街化調整区域に建つ住宅。山と川が近く、広い空が広がる田園地域。農家住宅と新しい住宅地が混在するこの場所で、植物を愛し、人との交流を楽しむ家族のための住まいを計画しました。この家では、建物だけで暮らしを完結させるのではなく、性格の異なる3つの庭を生活の中に取り込んでいます。

ひとつは、近隣の風景とつながる庭。
ひとつは、家族が集まり、遊び、食事をする庭。
そしてもうひとつは、ひとりで植物や光、風を感じるための庭。

庭を介して、家族と家族、家族と地域、そして自分自身との距離がゆるやかにつながっていきます。窓の向こうに庭があるだけではなく、点在した庭の中に暮らしが広がる。季節によって植物の表情が変わり、時間によって光が変わる。子どもが庭で遊び、家族が集まり、時にはひとりで過ごす。そうした日々の積み重ねによって、実際の床面積以上に住まいが広がって感じられることを考えました。田園の広い空や周囲の自然を取り込みながら、地域とのつながりも保ち、家族それぞれの時間も大切にする。庭を「家の外にあるもの」ではなく、暮らしそのものの一部として考えた住宅です。

The project is for a residential house planned in the suburban area of Okayama City, within a zone designated for urbanization control. The site is surrounded by mountains, rivers, and expansive rural skies, with a mix of traditional farmhouses and new residential developments in the vicinity. The design incorporates three distinct types of gardens integrated into the living environment. Each garden is intended to resonate with the neighbors, the family, and the individual, enhancing the living space and enriching the overall experience of the home. The residence is designed for a plant-loving and sociable family, allowing them to live harmoniously with the gardens.
